Don’t Lose Heart

Don’t lose a soft, gentle heart. It is easy to be angry, easy to be frustrated and feel what everyone else feels. It’s good to understand our emotions, but ultimately consider the Holy Spirit working in cohesion with our spirit, our reason. Matthew 11:30 “For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” No matter what is gong on, we connect with God in the spirit of a matter. This is easy, there are no demands.

1 Corinthians 13:13 now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. These are concepts unseen, but exist, and what truly matters in life. This is where we can invest our moments with God by allowing his spirit to be active in our decision making. God’s characteristics are listed in Galatians 5:22 love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, self control. We partake in His nature when sharing in his mind and spirit. This is the reward in the now and how God’s kingdom is available here on earth in our living hearts.

Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. We experience God’s love through the Holy Spirit our helper. In prayer, we open our reason and allow our spirit to be active and surrendered to God. John 14:1 Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. We put our trust and belief in God’s person rather than our own power because we trust God to direct our footsteps even though we are doing the walking. Christians are empowered people working to reach our goals, but even if those goals are not reached, our identity and purpose in a relationship with God never changes. Rest in God comes when sharing a life together, no matter what the struggle or joy.
